4th of July 2016

We had a lovely 3 day 4th of July weekend this year in Traverse City. We started the weekend off by going to the Cherry Festival and watching the Blue Angels. We spent the 4th going on a tour of a cherry orchard, walking around Sutton's Bay, playing outside in the backyard and the water table, and ended it with a delicious cherry pie.

Lilly is Walking

We officially have a walker! Lilly began walking the other day. She still crawls but she stands and walks around a lot as well. We're pretty sure she would rather be running but she's definitely not ready for that. In other exciting Lilly news, she now has 6 teeth. Our little girl just keeps on growing and changing!

Adventures in Traverse City

We have been enjoying our time in Traverse City. Every weekend we go on a new adventure. One of the great things about where we live is there are so many cool things to do within a short driving distance. We also had our first visitors the other week. The Davis family made the trek from Seattle to visit us. We had a great time with them and Lilly really enjoyed hanging out with her cousins. Alia got her and Lilly matching kitties and Lilly has been carrying it around everywhere with her since.

Easter 2016

The Easter bunny came for a visit this year and hid eggs for Lilly. She exceeded our expectations during her egg hunt and found all of the eggs that were hid for her and put all of them in her basket. She even carried her basket! She enjoyed herself and didn't care that the eggs didn't have anything in them. The eggs alone were a very fun toy.

Lilly's Crawling

Lilly has started crawling. She has an odd form of crawling, but it seems to work for her. She's able to get to where she needs to be.

Lilly's First Birthday

Lilly had a great first birthday. For starters her dad came home to celebrate with us so that was pretty great. We had a fun day together that started with opening presents and eating a yummy breakfast of pancakes. We then spent time playing together and ended the day with spaghetti and meatballs and of course birthday dessert! Lilly enjoyed her chocolate strawberry cupcake and ate the entire thing.

Our little girl has changed so much in a year. She talks and laughs all the time and makes us so happy. She can pull herself up and started crawling exactly one week before her birthday. It won't be long until she starts walking. We're so excited to see what the next year brings.
