Lilly got to meet Santa for the first time. I thought she would be just fine sitting on Santa's lap however she was not a fan of him. Maybe next year she'll like him!

Jacobson Family Christmas Tree 2015
We went to our local tree farm to cut down our Christmas tree. Lilly was a great help picking out the tree and cutting it down.

November 2015 Fun
November was a fun month full of many firsts for Lilly. We had gotten some candy for Halloween so she got to share a sucker with Dad. She really enjoyed it. She also got to feed herself a pancake which she did really well with. We decided to make beets for Lilly and luckily she likes them. We crack up every time we feed them to her because they make her mouth so red.
We headed up to Minnesota for a weekend for a wedding and Lilly got to fly in a plane for the first time. She did really well and it was a pretty smooth trip for us. The only problem that we encountered was that we forgot the diaper bag at home so I made the 1 1/2 drive back home to get it. There is a lot of stuff that is kept in a diaper bag! I don't think we'll make that mistake again.
Lilly then got to go to her first wedding where she was a dancing fool.

Lilly and Turtle at 9 Months
Lilly has started to eat more solid foods that the usual pureed mush. She loves eating and seems to be a bottomless pit. She is a very fast eater so she fits in well with our family! She picks up little pieces of food and puts them in her mouth and makes it there 90% of the time.
She sits really well on her own. She still does not have any teeth and has not started crawling but I think that's going to happen very soon. So far she tends to lean and stretch really far to grab something but I'm sure it's just a matter of time before she starts scooting her butt across the ground.
She is still crazy about Jinx and laughs and squeals every time she sees her. Lilly continues to talk, laugh, and smile!

Thanksgiving 2015
This year we decided to stay home for Thanksgiving. We had a great day together. It was a beautiful day so we went to Kickapoo for a walk and then played at the park. Lilly enjoyed her first time in a swing.
For dinner we made a beer butt chicken, beer braised brussels sprouts, and homemade noodles. For dessert we had two pumpkin pies because Tony couldn't decide which one he wanted more so we made both. The whole day was wonderful!

Happy Halloween
This year for Halloween Lilly was a Minion. My co-worker is crafty and offered to make Lilly's costume. She made the entire costume and did a really great job on it. The day before Halloween Lilly's daycare had a parade for all of the kids. Tony was able to leave work for a little while to go see it. It wasn't the parade he was thinking it would be, but they did have all of the kids walk through the church gathering candy from the different parents who came to watch. Lilly got to ride around in a 4 kid stroller with a few of her other classmates.
Lilly also got her first pumpkin bucket from daycare. It was full of goodies. Some goodies Lilly can have but some of them will be for mom and dad.

Lilly and Turtle at 8 months
We're a little behind on posting Lilly's 8 month pictures because a nasty cold took over our household and both Lilly and Tony were not feeling well. They both seem to be on the mend however Lilly will probably have another cold soon. We're prepared for her being sick until spring.
Lilly's hair is starting to come in. She is more aware of what is going on around her. When she drops something she leans way over to see where it went and she will look around you to see what it going on behind you. She is almost sitting perfectly however she still tips over if she leans too far to the side.
