Lilly & Turtle at 4 Months

Lilly continues to grow like crazy. She is now 2 feet tall and 13 lbs 8 oz. She is a very happy little girl and has started giggling and laughing this month. Her giggle is one of the best sounds ever and it is so infectious. She also continues to be quite the chatterbox.

She rolled from her back to her stomach the other day. She wasn't super excited when she got to her stomach because she doesn't particularly enjoy laying on her stomach. She has only done it the one time but I imagine that it will happen again very soon because she has been spending more time on her side lately.

Father's Day.

This was my first Father's Day as a Dad, and Lilly surprised me with a gift she made at daycare! I got really excited about it, and it put a big smile on my face. Lilly is so thoughtful already.

First Cold

I assumed that Lilly would get a cold shortly after starting daycare but I didn't think that it would happen in just a week. Lilly has now had her first cold. Exactly a week after starting daycare she got pretty congested. Luckily it didn't seem to bother her but she didn't sleep too sound and it was hard for her to eat in the morning. We used the snot sucker on her and got some big boogers out. She didn't seem to mind it too bad. When I picked her up Wednesday her right eye was red, swollen, and oozing yellow goo. That didn't seem to bother her either but she did look a little pathetic. I took her to the doctor Thursday morning and she got her first prescription of eye drops.

As of today she seems to be on the mend. I didn't have to suck her nose this morning and she didn't have trouble eating. Hopefully we can make it longer than a week before she gets her next cold. I always thought that kids were walking germs but it has now been confirmed that they are in fact covered in germs.
